How can I build my own 36MHz transmitter and receiver?
I need to build a 36MHz transmitter and receiver for my RC helicopter project. Can anyone suggest any website, forums I can learn to do this?
Your best bet is to get the service manual for an existing RC system, and duplicate the schematic. But you need a lot of experience in RF design, plus access to RF test equipment (scalar network analyzer, signal generator, and spectrum analyzer).
This is no project for the beginner.
The Radio Amateur's Handbook will give you a flavor of what you are up against, but it is weak when it comes to design calculations. The Motorola RF devices app notes are a good source for RF design techniques.
