My nitro RC Car has an unsteady idle?
Hi my nitro Rc off road car has a few problems, most of the time is wont start at all even on factory settings but when it finally does start it wont idle steady. One min it wil be idling then it will randomly start getting higher and higher untill at full power, i at this point am not pressing the gas or adjust anything.
another thing one time i started it up and it reved normally but would not stay still it was going slowly backwards!
Its a pull start and the glow plug things are fine as i can see.
CAN SOMEONE HELP PLEAASEEE !
Check your servos. Sometime if they're not getting a perfect signal they tend to get all hyperactive. Make sure there is no obstructions between the antenna and the remote and check the cables for breaks.
Get a fail safe device. You simply plug it in between the servo and the steering mechanism and if there's not a complete signal it will put the car in full break. They're really cheap, around 20 bucks and it could save your car.
In my first rc car the servos lost a signal at full throttle and kept going towards a busy street. It smashed into a car's tire, spread flaming fuel everywhere and I had to pay for the car owner's melted tires. Not cool.
