Remote Controlled Car improvements?
I am working on a project to improve the performance of an RC Car and would appreciate any suggestions as to how i could improve it's speed, turning radius, torque, things like that.
The best thing you can do for speed and torque is get a more powerful electric motor. Then you will probably need a bigger battery to power it so it doesn't drain too fast.
As far as turning radius, you would probably have to get a rack (rack and pinion system) with more teeth. The only problem is you would probably have to change the programming of the computer chip so the servo motor could utilize a different rack.
You could also change to smaller wheels and tires to give it more speed. That is about all I can think of.
